Trials open at the group

A trial for patients who have had pancreatic cancer surgically removed but still have circulating tumour DNA detectable after the operation. Patients with detectable ctDNA are offered an intensified, ctDNA-guided adjuvant regimen, and the trial asks whether escalating therapy based on the blood test improves disease-free survival compared with standard adjuvant care.

A randomized trial testing whether a molecular marker measured at diagnosis can be used to assign patients with newly diagnosed metastatic pancreatic cancer to the first-line chemotherapy regimen most likely to benefit them. Marker-positive and marker-negative patients are randomized between marker-guided treatment and standard physician’s-choice therapy, with progression-free survival as the primary endpoint.
